[an error occurred while processing this directive] Moody by Darren Chandler

Introduction
It's been a very long while since these pages received my attention... and my once beloved Legion has gone through a great many changes, most for the worse. I very much doubt that DC will develop any degree of respect for their readers or their readers' intelligence, at all, ever. So, it's unlikely they'll stop playing musical reality/ret-con/reboot any time soon.

The Legion do seem to by-pass the worst excesses of the garbage churned out by certain hacks, and the current incarnation seems to be in the right Ball Park, at least, but just a dog returns to its vomit I'm sure those eminent sages will see fit to fix that which is not broken before too long.

Seeing these pages is a bitter sweet reminder of how much fun and pleasure I derived from the Legion over the years. Hopefully, I'll be able to whip up some enthusiasm and revisit old triumphs.

These web-pages are dedicated to my own rather personal and often eccentric views on all (and I mean ALL) versions of the Legion of Super-Heroes. Featuring: fiction, articles, reviews, artwork, cameo appearance listing, jokes, cartoons and anything else I can find the time to fit in (at the moment my Internet access and free-time are limited (my scanner's had an anuerysm, too) so I can't add new material as quickly as I'd like. Still, slow but sure, eh?).

What's New

Well, it's been a while but I'm finally "back". I'm afraid that the last couple of incarnations of the Legion dampened my enthusiasm rather a lot, the appalling air head Britney clone that has usurped the mantle of Kara Zor-El (SuperGirl) is particularly galling (not even Thunder was this pointless). I still find talking about earlier versions quite appealing though, so it's time to switch to old fart fan mode and get "golden age" on their collective ass!

<boring tekkie bit>The html for this site is a mess, as is the site layout, I hope to sort those out shortly. Hopefully I'll be able to get around to cleaning up this site over the next week or so, the changes should take place behind the scenes anyway.</boring tekkie bit>

Hey, hey, finally some new content! I've added TimberWolf's profile to the Library section. Don't get too excited, I doubt it'll be a regular occurence.

A lot of the things I've been trying to do just haven't worked out for one reason or another. In the end, I grew so sick and tired of faffing about I just sat down and did the TWolf thing.

The revamp of the site is pretty much completed and I'm happy with it as far as it goes, but I'm still not happy with the basic structure of the site nor some of the pages.

It doesn't help that I can't seem to find a design tool to help. I'd had high hopes of Dreamweaver but I don't really like it. It's too slow on my archaic P100 even at version 1.2. And I find it's features difficult to customise and access.

To Do (i.e. wishful thinking)
- Profiles of my favourite characters (you want profiles of your favourites? Please feel free).
- Improve the quality of the pics in the Dave Cockrum article.

- Fix the Guest Book (anyone know of a guestbook that can be shared over multiple sites, i.e. one suitable for mirror sites).
- Add a poll of favourite members... one for each era... yipes!
- Alternative Legion Files piccies and rollover, ooh, it's so good!!!!

- LSH fonts based on the logos.
- LSH screen saver.
- That'll be enough to be getting on with I suppose

Sources and credits
These pages were designed all on my tod and prepared using a combination of Dreamweaver, FrontPage Express, Netscape and raw HTML with a sprinkling of JavaScript. I wrote the majority of the textual content, drew the simpler graphics (logos, icons, etc.) and coloured some simple black and white line drawings.

Most of the images have been scanned from various sources; back issues, convention sketches and fan art from APAs. I want this site to be as original and unique as possible, so I've tried to avoid using images from other sites (unless I've made a mistake, or couldn't find a suitable image elsewhere). The original source of an image can be identified (and linked-to where possible) simply by pointing at it. I'd particularly like to thank fellow APA-247 members: Jules Langley, Darren Chandler and Steve the Duck.

Any mistakes, omissions or trangressions, please let me know and I'll sort it.
